Decorated with fleur de lys motifs millegrain-set with cushion-, pear-shaped, circular-, single-cut and rose diamonds, the three largest motifs detachable, may be worn as brooches with five additional brooch fittings, tiara inner circumference approximately 250mm, Austrian assay marks for gold and maker's mark, fitted case stamped Hübner.

Provenance

The diamonds in the tiara were originally set in the plaque of the order of the Saint-Esprit of Charles X, King of France (1757-1836) (lot 85). 

Condition

Austrian assay marks for 14 carat gold and maker's mark for Hübner. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 95.00 - 115.00 carats, on average I-J colour, I included clarity, as gauged and graded within the mount. Scratches and evidence of wear to the metal, with some tarnish consistent with age. Overall, in very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 121 grams. Three largest detachable motifs, may be worn as brooches with five additional brooch fittings. Accompanied by original cards by Hübner from 1912. Fitted case stamped Moritz Hübner, Wien.
