Description

Of bow design, set with a natural pearl measuring approximately 7.50 x 7.65 x 6.50mm, enhanced with cushion-shaped, single-cut and rose diamonds, brooch fitting detachable.

Provenance

Formerly from the aigrette of Marie Anne de Savoie, Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary (1803-1884), godmother of Archduchess Marie Anne of Austria, later Princess Elie de Bourbon Parme. Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 95657, stating the button-shaped pearl, measuring approximately 7.50 x 7.65 x 6.50mm, was found to be natural, saltwater. Pearl of slightly cream body colour, good lustre, minor surface blemishes. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats, on average I-J colour, SI-I clarity, included. Scratches and tarnish to the metal consistent with age and normal use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 8 grams.
