Description

  • the case 12cm., 4 3/4in. high
comprising: a travelling set of folding knife with steel blade, spoon and fork, a teaspoon, a cylindrical condiment, Franz Köll, Vienna, 1839, together with a steel corkscrew and needle, with green leather holder and cut-glass beaker engraved with the initial M below an imperial crown, in fitted red leather case, green velvet and cream silk lining, the underside stamped: 'J. Reiner Juwelier Ende Kohlmarkt Spaarhalsa No 567 zur Stadt Mailand Wien', the case 16.7cm., 6 1/2 in. high; a cut and engraved glass travelling Drinking Glass, in tooled red leather case, green velvet lining, the underside stamped: 'BIENNAIS, ORFÉVRE _ DE L’EMPEREUR ET ROI. A PARIS,' circa 1810, the case, 9.5cm., 3 3/4in. high; and a cut-glass beaker in tooled red leather case with chamois lining

Condition

The collapsible flatware heavy gauge, clearly marked and in good condition. The travelling pepper pot is very tight at the midpoint of the body where it should unscrew. All glasses are in good condition with only a few very minor nibbles. The Biennais case is in excellent condition, the other two with a few more scuffs and signs of wear and use.
