The complete set of ten screenprints in colors, 1970, each signed in ball-point pen on the verso and stamp-numbered 183/250 (total edition includes 26 artist's proofs lettered A-Z), on wove paper, printed by Aetna Silkscreen Products, Inc., New York, published by Factory Additions, New York, framed (10 prints)

Condition

The colors are bright and the sheets are full. Each print was examined under black light, revealing printing imperfections as well as several inconsistencies in the ink. Upon close inspection, surface scuffing, small creases, nicks at the edges and soft corners are visible on each sheet. The versos with scattered foxing, light soiling, remnants of prior hinges and some small associated skinned spots. In addition to issues seen throughout the portfolio, as described above, imperfections in individual prints are as follows: F. & S. II.65 There is a tiny hole between two flowers at right. F. & S. II.66 Damp-stain at the right sheet edge on the reverse shows through slightly with minor attendant rippling. F. & S. II.69 A horizontal crease along the bottom sheet edge is most apparent on the verso. The right sheet edge with three nicks, one repaired and one with associated abrasion and pigment loss. F. & S. II.71 There is mottled discoloration noticeable in the surface of the purple flower at lower right. Three horizontal flattened creases are visible at right (possibly touched-in), each measuring circa 250 mm. A 13 mm tear extends from the left sheet edge at center. F. & S. II.72 Damp-stain at the bottom left corner has caused minor attendant rippling.
