A rare counterproof impression, 1631, New Hollstein’s fourth state (of six); with New Holl. 5, etching, 1628, a good, delicate though later impression of New Hollstein’s second state (of three); with The Artist’s Mother with her Hand on her Chest (New Holl. 87), etching, 1631, a strong impression of New Hollstein’s fourth state (of six), though showing touches of wear; and Bald Man in a Fur Cloak: Bust (New Holl. 99W), etching, circa 1631, a good impression of New Hollstein’s eighth state (of nine)

Condition

New Holl. 87, counterproof: With small to narrow margins, in good condition, remnants of hinging at upper and lower left corners verso, unframed. New Holl. 5: With thread margins on three sides, trimmed to the plate mark at left, some pen and ink additions in the image, some pale paper discoloration, a horizontal tear at upper left sheet edge (measuring approx. 6mm), a few minute nicks and losses at extreme sheet edges, remnants of previous hinging verso, unframed. New Holl. 87: With small margins, in good condition, a nick at lower left sheet edge, some slight uneven discoloration and remnants of hinging verso, unframed. New Holl. 99W: With wide margins, in good condition, some very pale fox marks, a minute area of thinning at upper left corner of plate mark, unframed.
