Etching, 1636, a very good, black impression of New Hollstein's second state (of four), with the faintest traces of wear starting to show in the shading below Rembrandt's hat

Condition

Trimmed to the borderline on three sides (slightly unevenly along the lower sheet edge), the upper sheet edge trimmed just inside the plate mark, in good condition, a few minute areas of thinning towards the sheet edges, an inscription in brown ink verso showing through faintly recto, some pale discoloration in the blank areas of the subject, a few miniscule foxmarks verso, unframed.
