Condition

This early print, on glossy paper, is in generally excellent condition. There is a tiny loss to the tip of the upper right corner. A few fingerprints, scratches, and insignificant tiny impressions that do not appear to break the emulsion are barely discernible in raking light. When examining the lower portion of the photograph closely at an angle, there is a rectangular area (measuring 2-1/2 by 4 inches) that appears ever so slightly raised. On the reverse of the mount are the following notations in pencil: '"Alter Wecker" / Rontgenform 46 / IIOKV Agfa Rontgenfilm / Dr. Paul Fries / Dr. Herbert Franke / Erlangen, Drausnickstr.' Numerical notations are as follows: '101/2'; '848'; and '46.'
