Description

  • Gilt-bronze, porphyry
  • 22cm. high, 31cm. diameter; 8¾in., 1ft.
set with rams' heads

Condition

In good conserved condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use, with minor chips to lip and base edge. The mounts lightly tarnished and re-attached - the twisted rope mount of a later date and bronze ring to socle a reinforcement done possibly after a break. The rams heads mounts probably period, but with breaks to horns, now re-weld.
