Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper. The work is composed out of two parts of fabric. The top is fixed with small nails on a wooden stretcher. The surface presents some wrinkles. Inherent to the artist technique, some threads are visible around the four edges of the work. Dating prior to the artist's execution of the work, the lower right area of the canvas has a folding along the edge, which has resulted in some minor tears. The label is fixed with staples on the reverse of the canvas. The work is in good original condition.
