Condition

The canvas is original. There are some fine stretcher bar marks at the left and upper edges. There are a few specks of loss and rubbing at the corners. There are a couple of light scuffs to the work. There is a faint scratch in the centre of the work. There is a small loss at the right edge in the lower third. There are some cracks in the lower right corner in the white pigment. There is some rubbing to the lower edge. There is some studio detritus and surface dirt. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals evidence of retouching at the lower left edge, the lower left, lower right, upper left and upper right corners. The work is unframed.
