Condition

Hodgkin created Ice specially for Team GB for the Olympic Winter 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia. Just as an Olympic athlete’s physical performance appears effortless and graceful after countless hours of training and preparation, Hodgkin’s seemingly spontaneous artworks are the result of almost 60 years of dedicated work. Ice is explosive but concentrated, an expression of physical prowess and intensity.
