Condition

The sheet is secured to the mount with a number of pieces of adhesive tape around the edges. The sheet is very deckled and unevenly cut at all four edges, with a number of associated creases and small tears around the edges, all in keeping with the Artist's materials. There are a couple of further, small tears to the bottom edge. There is a small amount of fine craquelure at the right edge in the thick area of black pigment. There are two further tiny areas of craquelure towards the upper edge at the centre, in the black pigment, only visible upon very close inspection. There is one spot of pigment in the upper right quadrant, as a result of the creative process. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is float mounted and held in a simple wooden frame behind glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any further questions regarding the present lot.
