Description

Designed as a butterfly with mystery-set calibré-cut ruby wings, accented with pavé-set round and baguette diamonds, the body set with two marquise-shaped diamonds, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and V.C.A., numbered NY 56052. With signed box. 

Condition

In good condition, with minor surface wear to the platinum mounting commensurate with use. Inscribed Plat for platinum. The individual elements (upper and lower wing sections) move slightly but are securely attached. The rubies are purplish red in hue, medium to medium deep tone, and strongly saturated with slight to moderate inclusions. The diamonds, weighing approximately 3.35 carats, are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. Overall dimensions approximately 2 x 2¼ inches.
