Description

Of bombé design, set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 16.51 carats, enhanced by brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, the shoulders set with shield- and trapeze-shaped diamonds, mounted in platinum, size 7¾, signed Cartier, numbered, case stamped Cartier.

Condition

Accompanied by Gübelin and SSEF reports no.17110168, dated 29 November 2017 and no. 96205, dated 30 October 2017 respectively, both stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. For further details, please refer to reports. Signed Cartier, numbered 35010. Stamped PT950 for platinum and 51 for Cartier ring size. Sapphire is medium blue colour, of strong saturation. Under 10x magnification there are few typical inclusions, minor abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 10.50-11.00cts in total are on average F to G colour, mostly VS clarity, as graded and gauged in the mount. Minor signs of wear to metal consistent with use. Overall in very good condition.
