Description

The ring of floral design, set with pear-shaped coloured sapphires, decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, size 5½, signed VCA, numbered, French assay and maker's marks; and the bracelet composed of ropetwist links, highlighted with circular-cut rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 185mm, signed VCA, numbered, French gold export marks; both mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.

Condition

Ring: Inscribed OR 750 and stamped French assay mark for 18 karat yellow gold, signed VCA and numbered ML 2925, stamped French maker's mark. Coloured sapphires estimated to weigh approximately 1 - 1.5cts are light to medium orangy yellow, yellowish orange and bluish green colour, medium light to medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, minor chips and abrasion when inspected under 10x magnification. Diamonds are bright and lively. Minor signs of wear on metal, overall in very good condition. Bracelet: Inscribed 18K and stamped French gold export marks for 18 karat yellow gold. Signed VCA, numbered C2101G5, inscribed 3.27ct referring to the weigh of diamonds and rubies. Rubies of medium dark purplish red of medium strong saturation, typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor chips and abrasion, but hardly noticeable with unaided eyes. Diamonds are bright and lively. Signs of normal wear on metal in consistent with use, overall in very good condition.
