Pierres de Caractère

In celebration of the iconic jewellery house’s centenary, Van Cleef & Arpels created the Pierres de Caractère™ collection paying homage to the beauty of gems by drawing from their enchanting character and the emotions which they evoke. Claude Arpels used to say “every stone has a soul of its own” and this particular collection embodies the notion of expressing such spiritual qualities.

Lot 1754 is 2/100 unique pieces created to mark this momentous occasion. Only the brightest emeralds would satisfy and inspire the design of this versatile necklace which draws a striking balance amongst the ingenious asymmetry. ‘Pierres de Caractère’, translating to ‘stones with character’ is the essence of this fine collection paying tribute to the 100 years of success and glamour achieved by none other than Van Cleef & Arpels.
