Description

The first, designed as three penguins on a cabochon opal glacier, embellished with circular-cut diamonds of various tint, mounted in 18 karat white gold; and the second, designed as a bee with a cat's eye quartz body, decorated with variously cut diamonds and black diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white, yellow and blackened gold.

Condition

The bee brooch: Stamped K18.K18WG for 18 karat white, yellow and blackened gold, D335 referring to the weight of the diamonds in total and 790 referring to the weight of the cats-eye quartz. The diamonds are bright and lively. The penguin brooch: Opal weighing approximately 10.50 cts is transparent, of greenish blue colour, with organic material. Under strong illumination, there are a few fissures, some surface reaching, not visible under normal lighting. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 2.00-2.50 cts in total are bright and lively. Signs of minor wear to metal consistent with use. Overall in very good condition.
