Condition
The canvas is original and appears to be sound. There is a very faint stretcher bar mark along the upper edge. There are some very fine lines of craquelure in places including along the extreme edges and in the upper right quadrant. There are some fine lines of reticulation in the black pigment in both the bottle and its reflection. There is one instance of studio matter towards the left edge in the lower third, and light surface dust throughout. There are two small areas of staining towards the right edge in the lower half. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra light reveals small, localised areas of fluorescence throughout, which have been very sympathetically executed.
