Thence by descent to the present owner

Condition

Overall in very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. The wooden surfaces present with gentle fading and minor staining concentrated to the upper portion of the backrest and areas directly behind the armrest mounts on the seat frame. The center curve of the backrest with a minor loss which measures approximately 3/8 inch (1 cm) diameter. The proper rear left seat frame with a hairline crack radiating from the backrest support post, measures approximately 3/4 inch (2 cm), appears stable and is not visually disruptive. The sea grass with minor wear, and dirt consistent with use. The seagrass on the footrest with one broken cord near the long edge of the frame and appears stable. A fine example of this design with excellent provenance.
