Condition

Overall in very good condition consistent with age and use. The metal frame with minor scattered surface scuffs, scratches and oxidation. The top of the frame with scattered dirt, rubbing, chips and scratches to the painted surfaces. The metal hinge under the top metal plate with oxidation throughout. The top hinged access door does not sit completely flush when closed and the mounting screws appear to be replaced. The glass panels appear to be original and present with minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in production as well as some tape residue. The edges of the with minor scattered flecks which are not visible when installed. The bottom corner of one glass panel with a loss measuring approximately 3/8 x 1 1/4 in. (1 x 3 cm) and is not visible when installed. There is a single socket on the interior. A beautiful example of modernist design. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
