Catalogue Note

Accompanied by Audemars Piguet Certificate of Origin and Guarantee booklet.  Beginning in 1999, Audemars Piguet launched the Tradition d'Excellence Collection, which comprised of extremely well-crafted horological masterpieces highlighting the firm's skills in both traditional and innovative complications.  This special collection continues to be developed by the firm, and each launch is highly anticipated by collectors.  Their goal is to manufacture eight special models, each with a limited series of only 20 pieces.

The firm introduced the Royal Oak Offshore in 2004 as the fourth piece in this exclusive collection. The present lot features a hand wound tourbillon chronograph with a very unique power reserve complication. The double power reserve indicator shows the wearer a clear 10 day resolution, with an auxiliary indication for the last 24 hours. The caliber 2893 is expertly constructed with ultra light titanium levers, designed to significantly reduce inertia. The watch is completed by an impressively weighted platinum bracelet.
