Catalogue Note

The Heuer Bundeswehr 1550 SG is the epitome of tool watches: utilitarian, highly legible, and well built. The model saw many dial variations through its production period from 1955 to 1990. The present lot is with a clean dial, with no markings beyond the Heuer logo. It is a well preserved example of a Bund made for the civilian market.  The Bundeswehr was established in 1955 as the united armed forces of Germany, and recognised as one of the most modern, and well equipped armed forces of its time.
