Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Panerai Registration and Service Booklet with a Certificate of Conformity dated 1996.  Together with a model of a "pig", hangtag, key for box, two additional leather straps, hard cover edizione speciale book, and a wooden presentation box. The Luminor Daylight Slytech 5218-207/A saw two iterations in its short production. The present lot bears a white dial with black indexes, the more common configuration. In contrast, lot 251 bears blue indexes, the original configuration made for the watch. Production of the Slytech Daylight was only made in around 100 units despite the millesimation of 200 units to the case back. Both this Slytech model and the Slytech Submersible were made using modified 5218-201/A as these Pre-Vendôme models were made in a time when Officine Panerai was reentering the commercial sphere and was under strict and limited resources to create new lines of watches. Panerai was eventually sold to the Vendôme group in 1997, now known as the Richemont group.
