Catalogue Note

Reference 5712 belongs to the huge Nautilus family of Patek Philippe. In 1976, Gerald Genta had designed the Nautilus case for Patek Philippe and during then the first model, it was given the reference 3700. After 29 years of the production of the Nautilus case, 3712 was finally introduced and it was the predecessor of 5712 which was fitted with a date indicator, moon phases and a power reserve indicator. However the reference 3712 was only in production for a year before it was replaced with the current reference 5712. Till today, Nautilus has been one of the many favourite models in the watch market. Since Patek Philippe has lowered its production number for all Nautilus watches, this had led to the increase of demand for Nautilus in the 2nd hand market today.
