Catalogue Note

Jaeger-LeCoultre's iconic Reverso wristwatch is elevated by skillfully painted miniature enamel dials in their limited edition series of five examples, the Reverso à Eclipses. The firm has long maintained a tradition of fine art through their workshop specializing in miniature enamel paintings. The present lot features an exceptional depiction of the adorable Venice canals under the suffusion of rosy sun. The Reverso à Eclipses is a unique reversible wristwatch featuring the in-house caliber 849. The hand wound caliber is ultra-thin, leaving ample room for the enamel dial. The enamel is skillfully hidden under pink gold shutters, and the shutters can be opened through a wheel on the case at 2 o'clock. By revealing the work of art under the gold shutters, it allows the dial to remain metallic and secretive when the shutters are closed.

The watch is offered in like new condition and has never been worn.
