• cal. 1570 automatic movement, 26 jewels • black dial, luminous triangle, baton and dots indexes, aperture for date • stainless steel Oyster case, revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units, screw-down crown and case back, case back inscribed with "FUERZA AEREA DEL PERÚ" • case, dial and movement signed • with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and folding clasp

Condition

Movement in working order when cataloging. Dial and hands are in very good condition of aging, luminous of hands and indexes is consistent with the age, with beautiful yellow sign from aging, hands with sign of oxidation . Matte dial with no sign of damage. Case is in very good condition consistent with the age, with some inevitable light scuffs and scratches, especially to the bands. Inner case back stamped with "3715664. 1680" End links stamped with 385. * Please note that the movement has not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and a service might be required at the buyer's expense.

Catalogue Note

  The present example is a very rare reference 1680 Red Submariner. The watch was made for the Peruvian Air Force in approximately 1974. The case back is inscribed “Fuerza Aerea Del Peru” (Peruvian Air Force, FAP) and the case number is also repeated on the inside of the case back. Furthermore, the issue number attributed to each watch and engraved on the outside of the case back still remains visible and reads 107.
