Condition

Overall in very good condition. Minor scuffing, scratches, and shallow edge abrasions throughout table top and side edges consistent with age and use. Small natural hairlines to the wood, largely concentrated on the lighter areas of the boards, have been filled at the time of production, as is common for works by Nakashima. The base shows a few scattered minor scratches and shallow edge abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. In the area where the upper support intersects with the natural opening of the bookmatched boards, the wood has been decoratively carved, adding a unique decorative element not often found in Nakashima tables. Each board is perfectly bookmatched and presents with a satin quality to the wood and rich figuring in the grain. A special commission that is a strong example from the designer's 'Conoid' series with two freeform edges.
