Condition

Overall in very good condition. The table and six chairs are an original set that present very well overall. The chairs have been professionally and sensitively reupholstered and are stable. Each chair presents with minor scuffing and light superficial scratches throughout, largely concentrated to the backrest area and consistent with age and gentle use. One chair with more visible scratches to the backrest area, the largest measuring 9 inches in length and not visually distracting. The feet of each chair with minor signs of scuffing resulting in areas of discoloration. Two chairs are missing four metal foot tacks and one chair is missing one tack. The table presents with minor areas of scratches and rubbing concentrated towards the outer edges of the tabletop. Table top with minor scuffing throughout, consistent with gentle use and age. Very light scuffing at the base resulting in small areas of discoloration. An important and complete set by Saarinen in fully functional condition.
