Condition

Overall very good condition. The oak surfaces throughout appear to retain their original rich dark finish, which present with some occasional extremely minor surface scratches, abrasions and edge wear with some small associated losses, consistent with age and gentle use. Some of these losses have been sensitively colored to present harmoniously with the rest of the finish. The proper left rear leg with a small restoration measuring approximately 1 ½ x ½ inch at approximately seat height, not visually detractive and only visible upon close inspection. Four of the pegs have been replaced. The armchair retains its original leather armrest straps which present with craquelure and some minor surface losses and flaking. The proper right armrest with a very small tear near the loops where the armrest connects to the front vertical post. The proper left armrest with two small restorations also where the armrest connects to the front vertical post. A beautiful example of the form with complex decoration.
