Condition

Overall in very good, age-appropriate condition. When viewed in person, the carpet presents with much brighter and more vibrant hues overall, particularly to the cherry red of the inner border and the cobalt blue of the ground. The surfaces with minor soiling, some fading, a few minor instances of residue, and light discoloration scattered throughout, all consistent with age and use. The carpet throughout with some frays and separations of varying size to the weave, mainly concentrated to one of the shorter ends of the carpet, the largest separation located near one of the corners measuring approximately 7 ½ in. The carpet throughout also with some instances of sensitive and professional restoration, mainly concentrated to the same edge, not visually disruptive and only more prominently visible when viewing the underside of the carpet, the two largest restorations located near the same aforementioned corner, the larger measuring approximately 22 ½ x 10 3/8 in. Please contact a member of the department for additional photographs highlighting condition and scale. A dynamic design of impressive scale from Morris & Co. that presents very well overall.
