Overall fine condition. Verso tape hinged at top. Retains very strong colors, with some discoloration in the sky.Right corner restored, minor losses at the edges. Repair in middle right. Signed Edward Lange, 1875 M. 25.

Catalogue Note
Sumner Sturtevant (1828-1897), a Nyack, New York piano maker, married in 1855 Ellen Burd (1834-1926), the daughter of Thomas Burd (1804-1878), carpenter in Nyack who built the house depicted sometime between 1859-1875. The house was reportedly the last house built in Nyack using mortise-and-tenon joinery.
