Condition

Overall very good condition. The bronze surfaces throughout both frames with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and light wear consistent with age and gentle handling. The bronze of the smaller frame with some minor instances of oxidation; the bronze surfaces of the larger frame with oxidation visible in the catalogue illustration (far less saturated when viewed firsthand compared to the printed catalogue illustration), and with some scattered minor instances of pitting, not visually detractive. The favrile glass of both frames with some light surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the pine needle overlay. When viewed firsthand, the glass of the larger frame presents with vibrant green and orange tones, which are more saturated compared to the printed catalogue illustration; the smaller frame with more saturated apple green glass. The reverse of the smaller frame appears to retain the original easel stand; the larger frame is hinged at the center and stands on its own. The clear glass faces of both frames with scattered minute edge chips throughout, not visible once the glass is installed in the frame. The openings of the larger frame: 5 1/2 x 4 inches each; the openings of the smaller frame: 2 3/8 inch diameter. These dynamic frames present beautifully in person and complement one another very nicely.
