Condition

Overall very good condition. This shade is distinguished by a highly artistic glass selection featuring complex “confetti” glass (also known as “fractured” glass) in the background passages, which imparts the lamp with strong pictorial depth and visual movement. The shade with approximately 5 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The base is in very good condition and displays a rich brown and green patina with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and extremely minor traces of oxidation and surface soiling concentrated to the recessed portions of the design, consistent with age and gentle use. With a period finial in very good condition with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and light wear. With replaced sockets. A beautiful and highly naturalistic depiction of this iconic Tulip model displaying a highly artistic and complementary shade and base pairing.
