Movement: gilt full plate, verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock, three-arm steel balance, fusee and chain, diamond end-stone, turned pillars, repeating on a bell, gilt-metal dust capDial: gold champlevé enamel, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track, blued steel poker and tulip hands Case: plain gold inner, pierced and engraved band with scrolling foliage inhabited by animals, a rural scene at the base of pendant, pulse piece, gold outer, pierced and ringed roundels of varying sizes to the band and bezelDiameter: inner 47 mm, outer 57mmSigned: movement, and dial, movement, inner and outer numbered, inner with maker's mark WI for William Jaques, outer with maker's mark WG probably for William Ginn

Condition

DIAL: in generally good condition with some old marks and minor scratches. Some wax infill lacking. CASE: in good condition, bow possibly replaced. Outer case as inner. MOVEMENT: in generally good and clean condition and appears to retain the original wheel train throughout. It looks like it would run but may benefit from a clean and fresh oil. Dust cap possible replaced. The watch has not been tested to determine the accuracy of its timekeeping.
