Condition

Oil on paper laid down on canvas. Under UV: the majority of the picture surface is covered by an uneven green fluorescing varnish, of which the background has been cleaned. There is a diagonal hairline repaired tear extending from the proper left side of the ram's face to the lower center of his body; a 'Z' shaped repair in the lower left background; and a horizontal repair across the upper right corner. Scattered retouching is visible on the ram's back and elbows.
