Description
- 14 carat gold, ruby, synthetic ruby
Of tri-coloured design, modelled as a tank, set with circular-cut and cabochon rubies and calibré-cut synthetic rubies, the gun operating as a lever opening the top hatch, revealing a waving soldier, his head set with a ruby bead.

Condition
Pin stamped 585, clasp stamped 14K for 14 carat gold. Pin stamped SC for Sotheby's Switzerland. Rubies and synthetic rubies mid purplish-red, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, some surface-reaching, some areas of minor chipping and wear to facet edges. Gun functions as a lever, opening hatch at top when pushed downward. Gun, hatch door and sprung soldier in good working order. Hatch closing securely. Scratches to surfaces consistent with wear. Areas of discolouration to metal. Overall dimensions approximately 62 x 43 x 20mm, gross weight approximately 27.9 grams. Brooch fitting secure. In good condition.
