Of foliate design set with natural pearls, the largest measuring approximately 11.1 x 9.5 x 8.9mm, and circular-cut and rose diamonds, case stamped Carrington & Co.

Condition

Accompanied by GCS, report no. 77118-79, stating that the pearls are natural, saltwater, with no indications of treatment. Largest pearl measuring approximately 11.1 x 9.5 x 8.9mm, smallest measuring approximately 5.5 - 5.6 x 7.5mm. Mounted in silver and gold. Pearls of white to cream body colour, some with green and rose overtones, medium to high lustre, of various shapes, some typical blemishes, growths marks, light scratches, pits and banding. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total weight approximately 7.00-9.00 carats, estimated clarity I on average and mixed colours, as gauged within the limitations of the mount. Signs of normal wear to metal, scratches and indentations consistent with use and age. Tiara fitting later soldered to headband. Areas on tiara fitting slightly bent, with evidence of solder repair to reverse of top central motif. Minor areas of discolouration, tarnish and solder to the reverse. Overall in good condition. Gross weight approximately 67.7 grams. Accompanied by case from Carrington & Co.
