Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined. There is evidence of light wear and handling to the corners and turning edges. The surface texture variations are consistent with the artist's choice of medium and working method. There is very minor surface soiling, scattered stray media and a few, scattered unobtrusive surface accretions. Under close inspection, there is evidence of minor pigment separation particularly in the red pigment, which is inherent and consistent with the artist's choice of medium and working method. Under close inspection, there is a soft horizontal stretcher bar impression in the center of the canvas, a soft, linear surface abrasion at the top left with associated pigment loss at the top left corner and a minor surface scuff along the lower right edge of the canvas. Unframed.
