Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. There is stable cracking throughout. There are areas of lifting with associated pinpoint pigment loss to the upper right quadrant and the lime green passage in the lower right quadrant, both visible upon close inspection. There is a pinhole at the lower edge of the canvas, 6 inches from the left vertical edge, visible upon close inspection. Under Ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration. Please note that this work has not been inspected out of its frame. Framed.

Catalogue Note
Yvonne Thomas' Abstract Expressionist paintings grew out of her studies at Cooper Union and the Art Students League in New York. Her use of color and structure was particularly influenced by Robert Motherwell and Hans Hofmann, with whom she studied for many years.
