Condition

This work has been mounted as if it were a textile onto a fine piece of cotton fabric. The original tacking edges are exposed. The work may have been extensively and cosmetically tidied up, particularly in the white color, in order to diminish stains and foxing that so easily develop in works like this. It can be seen that the tacking edges are very discolored and weak, and it is likely that this has also occurred within the work, suggesting that the work is broadly restored.
