Provenance

Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent. 

Condition

The textile on both covers is worn, the edges frayed. There are losses to the title slip. The front cover is detached. The upper corners of the first leaves are missing. There are small areas of loss to the mounted rubbings on the first two leaves, as well as some whitish water or damp staining and some small areas of retouching. There are small scattered black spots across the third and fourth leaves. There is overall light brown staining, scattered black dots, small areas of loss to the paper across the fifth, sixth and seventh leaves. There are is light overall wear to the eighth and ninth leaves, some small areas where the red seal ink is smudged, some small areas of retouching.
