Description

  • 10.2 cm, 4 in.
the gently flaring sides supported on a countersunk base with five spur marks, covered overall in a soft greyish glaze suffused with a matrix of iron-wire crackles

Provenance

Collection of T.Y. Chao (1912-1999).

Condition

In overall good condition except for two hairline cracks (the longest approx. 2.5cm extending in an irregular line from the rim to the interior) and a shallow glaze flake to the rim. Typical firing imperfections including pinholes.
