Description

Of blackamoor design, the head and turban applied with black and cream enamel, set with rose diamonds, to coral cylinder bead and seed pearl earrings, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay mark for 18 carat gold, gross weight approximately 9.80 grams.

Condition

Signed Cartier, numbered 54345, another number struck out, marked Déposé, stamped with French assay mark for 18 carat gold. Coral orangey-pink with typical grained structure visible under magnification, with hairline crack and small areas of chipping. Seed pearls of irregular shape, with general unevenness and areas of minor damage to nacre. Enamel mostly in good condition, with some patches of restoration to turban. Rose diamonds bright and lively. Light scratches to surfaces consistent with wear, area of discoloration to metal at reverse. Double pin fitting in good working order. Overall in good condition, commensurate with age. Overall dimensions approximately 35 x 20mm. Gross weight approximately 9.80 grams.
