The sale proceeds for this lot will benefit philanthropic activities Le sculture di Mark di Suvero, create assemblando pezzi di ferro e scarti recuperati da officine o fonderie, rappresentano emozionanti monumenti artistici.

The sculptures by Mark di Suvero, created by assembling pieces of iron and scraps from workshops or foundries, represent exciting artistic monuments. Swallowring, in particular, best expresses the architectural spirit of the artist. The work is built from scraps of rusty steel which rises from a fine point to support two thick circles which crisscross and hold up others which orbit around them. It is a real work of kinetic art that celebrates the genius of he who forged it in its beauty.
