Condition
The canvas is lined. Examination under UV light reveals some scattered small spots of retouching in the beige cloak, a few additional spots of retouching towards the centre of the left edge and towards the upper left corner. There are pinholes along the extreme edges and at all four corners. There are a few lines of stable craquelure in places, most predominately in the white pigment. There are a few flecks of paint losses, notably above the woman's hat. There are a few scratches running diagonally to the pper left corner. There are a few scattered fly spots, notably above the woman's proper left hand. There is some frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.
