Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating. However, examination under UV light appears to reveal a thin line of retouching approx. 2 cm long towards the upper part of the left edge. There are a few smaller dots and lines of retouching in places, predominately away from the centre of the composition. There is some frame rubbing along the extreme edges. There are minor stable thin lines of craquelure throughout the composition. This work is in overall good condition and could benefit from a light clean.
