The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the background colour tends more towards purple in the original work and the pink impasto in the upper half of the work is more vivid. Moreover, the image does not accurately convey the relief of the work.
The work was inspected in its artist frame composed of wood rods, visible in the catalogue illustration.
A small lack in the wood stretcher (dating prior to the execution of the work) has resulted in a small default in the canvas near the upper right quadrant (visible in the catalogue illustration).
Under very close inspection, some light traces of binder are visible in certain thicker impasto areas.
The black and white impastos present some stabilized cracks, some of which have been professionally consolidated. Under UV light inspection, these consolidations fluroresce as do a few repaintings. Also under UV light, some binder remnants fluoresce especially near the left edge under the black impasto.
