Condition

Overall very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. The outer surfaces of the piece with scattered minor surface soiling, scuffing, rubbing and fingerprints consistent with age and use. The rear proper left corner with some chipping to the paint to an area approximately 3/8 x 2 inches. The rear proper left and right corners of the central “window” with vertical hairline cracks measuring approximately 1 ¼ and 1 inch respectively and appear stable. The front proper left corner of the entry with a chip revealing the wood below measuring approximately 3/8 x 1/4 inch. A few of the metal cage rails with minor bending. The outer edge of the tatami mat with a tear measuring approximately 1 1/4 inch. The top right proper corner of the door with a crack at a diagonal measuring approximately 1 1/4 inch. and appears stable. The stool with some minor dents throughout, and its top corner with a minor chip measuring approximately ¼ inch. A playful contemporary design with impressive sculptural presence.
