Description

  • Height 19 cm.
turned slightly to her right, her face with almond-shaped eyes, her wavy hair parted in the center, tied in a chignon at the back, and surmounted by a laurel wreath; no restorations.

Léon Rodriguez-Ely (1924-1973), Marseille, acquired in the 1950s (Christie's, Paris, May 6th, 2015, no. 40, illus.)

Condition

As shown. Nose and both lips heavily chipped, as well as eyebrows. Surface somewhat worn with areas of incrustation, abrasions and nicks overall.
