Condition

There is one horizontal, circa 5cm split close to the centre of the right framing edge, also visible on the reverse. However, this is not too distracting to the naked eye. With the exception of the aforementioned split, the panel is flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. There are some small specks of paint loss along the upper and lower framing edges respectively, mostly covered by the frame, and some minor frame rubbing is visible along the left edge. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some small spots of cosmetic retouching in the left edge addressing the aforementioned frame rubbing, and some other minor spots in the foreground possibly addressing paint flaking. Some of these retouchings are also visible to the naked eye upon close inspection. It should be noted the main composition appears to be untouched. This work presents well, is overall in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
